Video: Jack Hoffman, 7-year-old cancer patient, Runs For 69-Yd TD ...

Sports news hasn't been very kind lately, but there are always the special moments that shine through and restore our faith in society. Saturday was one of those days that provided a special moment. During the Nebraska Cornhuskers spring game, 7-year-old cancer patient Jack Hoffman was called on to the field and given the ball on a fourth-and-one play.

In a very touching moment, Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez handed the ball off to Hoffman and helped lead the way to the endzone.

All of the Nebraska players were cheering on Jack as he made the 69-yard run to the endzone and the play ended with the crowd going wild and the players hoisting Jack above their heads and coming together in a huddle to cheer him on. It was incredible and such an amazing scene.

Hoffman was diagnosed with cancer in August of 2011 and developed a friendship with Cornhuskers running back Rex Burkhead when he was having a golf ball sized tumor removed from his brain. Since then, he has kept a close relationship with the Nebraska football program and the players have been nothing short of amazing.
