WSU Extension offers diabetes prevention program - The Columbian

Thursday, February 27, 2013 The Washington State University Clark County Extension is providing a 16-week program for people who've pre-diabetes or who are in risk for diabetes. This program, aRoad to Health: Diabetes Prevention Program,a empowers visitors to lower their risk for Type 2 diabetes by dropping small amounts of fat by decreasing fat and calories and participating regularly in physical exercise. The group program will be led by an extension trained lifestyle coach. Following the 16-week series, regular periods is likely to be presented to simply help members maintain their lifestyle changes. This system can take place from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesdays, beginning April 3, at Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St. This system cost is $100, which includes a participant journal and components.
